SCHOOLSFIRST FCU MEMBER REWARDS PROGRAM TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions govern the SchoolsFirst FCU Member Rewards Program ("Program"): SchoolsFirst FCU ("Sponsor", "we," "our," or "us") sponsors the Program for cardholders ("you" or "your") of eligible SchoolsFirst FCU credit cards or debit cards. Eligible cards include the SchoolsFirst FCU Rewards Credit Card and any Debit card affiliated with an Investment Checking Account ("Account"). Program is managed by Mastercard Inc. ("Administrator"). The Program awards Member Rewards Points ("Points") for purchases of all eligible goods and services using your eligible card. You may view your Point balance online when you log in to www.schoolsfirstfcu.org or by calling our Member Rewards toll free customer service number at (833) 251-6392. Use of your account is your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Description of the Program

  1. Participation and eligibility in the rewards program is at the sole discretion of the Sponsor and can change at any time without prior notice. Accrual of points is limited to Members who have a Rewards Credit Card and/or a Debit Card affiliated to an Investment Checking Account
  2. You must be 18 years or older to participate in the Rewards Mastercard. You must be 16 years or older with an Investment Checking account to participate in the Rewards debit Mastercard.
  3. The rewards program and benefits are offered at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The Sponsor thereby reserves the right to disqualify any participant from participation in the program and invalidate all points for any reason, including but not limited to abuse, fraud, or any violation of the program terms and conditions. Invalidation of points means forfeiture of points. The Sponsor may make such a determination in its sole discretion.
  4. The rewards program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
  5. The Sponsor and the Administrator are not responsible for typographical errors and/or omissions in any program document.
  6. The Sponsor and the Administrator reserve the right to change the terms and conditions as well as any and all rewards program details including but not limited to point allocations, what participants can earn, or spend points on etc. at any time without prior notice. At the Sponsor's option, redemption of points may be restricted, limited, expired or cancelled at any time without prior notice. Regardless of a participant's level of activity in the program, the ability to accumulate points or claim rewards can be terminated or modified without prior notice. The redemption value of points already accumulated may be changed at any time without notice and without restriction or penalty.
  7. The Program is a service provided through the Administrator and us. In the event of fraud, abuse of Program privileges or violation of the Program rules (including any attempt to sell, exchange or transfer Points or the instrument exchangeable for Points), we reserve the right to cancel your membership in the Program.
  8. Eligibility in the rewards program is restricted to individuals who have a statement address within the 50 United States, the District of Columbia or any U.S. Possession or Territory. Participants must also remain in good standing, determined solely by the Sponsor.
  9. The reward program's Privacy Policy is available at the rewards program's website on the bottom of each page.

Earnings Points

  1. Points will be accumulated at the rate of:
    1. One and one half (1.5) Point for each one (1) dollar charged on your eligible credit card.
    2. Two (2) Points for every eligible transaction made on your eligible debit card in PIN-based transactions.
    3. Two (2) Points for every eligible transaction made on your eligible debit card in signature-based transactions.
  2. Points may begin to accrue on the date the card is activated.
  3. If more than one eligible card has been issued for the same account, the points earned from each card will automatically be pooled together to the primary account holder's rewards program account into one available point balance.
  4. Point earnings for credit card purchases:
    1. Points are earned based on purchases and deducted for returns or adjustments.
    2. Points are earned based on the dollar spent. Points will be rounded to the nearest whole point after the point calculation.
  5. All transactions are subject to verification. If a transaction is subject to a billing dispute, the point valueof the transaction will be deducted from the Points total during the dispute period. If the transactions are reinstated, Points will be reinstated.
  6. Points are the property of SchoolsFirst FCU, and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or combined in any way (including upon death or as part of a domestic relations matter).
  7. Points cannot be transferred from one Member account to another and Points from multiple Member accounts cannot be combined.
  8. Points may not be combined with any other loyalty/frequency award program.
  9. Points do not expire and there is no limit on the amount of points that can be earned.
  10. Points will not be earned or accumulated for balance transfers, cash advances, convenience checks, traveler's check purchases, finance charges, late fees, annual fees, over-limit fees or transaction fees, ATM withdrawal. We reserve the right to exclude other transactions not listed here from earning Points.
  11. You agree to release us, the Administrator, and affiliated vendors from all liability for any injury, accident, loss, claim, expense or damage sustained by you, associated with a reward or use of reward while participating in this Program and in the case of a travel reward, anyone traveling with or without you, in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of any reward. The foregoing entities shall not be liable for consequential damages, and the sole extent of liability, if at all, shall not exceed the actual value of the reward.
  12. You release us and the Administrator from any and all liability for disagreements between you and joint account holders regarding the accrual, housing, or redemption of Points. The Sponsor's decisions regarding point discrepancies shall be final.
  13. Discrepancies about Point earnings are not treated as credit card billing disputes. Our decisions regarding Point discrepancies shall be final.
  14. We reserve the right to disqualify you from participation in the Program and invalidate all Points for abuse, fraud, or any violation of the Program terms and conditions. We may make such a determination in our sole discretion.
  15. The Sponsor reserves the right to close any account based on inactivity at any time without prior notice, which would result in the forfeiture of points.

Redeeming Points

  1. You and any joint account holders will be able to redeem points. Any authorized users are not allowed to redeem any points.
  2. To redeem points, you will need to login to SchoolsFirst FCU Online or Mobile Banking to access the Rewards website or they can call the Rewards Call Center directly. Joint account holders will be required to call the Rewards Call Center directly for redemptions.
  3. Your card account(s) must be open (i.e., not voluntarily closed, canceled or terminated for any reason); current and in good standing (i.e., there are no past-due balances on your card account(s) at the time of redemption request); your outstanding balance must not be over the credit limit; card account must not have a revoked, charged-off or bankruptcy status; and the card account cannot have any other status preventing authorizations. Your Membership account must be in good standing.
  4. Points are deducted from your point balance as soon as they are redeemed.
  5. Points can only be redeemed based on the Points available as reflected on your most recent card statement or last purchase cycle transmitted.
  6. You agree to release us and Administrator, and its vendors from all liability for any injury, accident, loss, claim, expense or damages sustained by you, associated with a reward or use of rewards while participating in this rewards program and in the case of a travel reward, anyone traveling with or without the participant, in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of any reward. We and the Administrator shall not be liable for consequential damages, and the sole extent of liability, if at all, shall not exceed the actual value of the reward.
  7. You are responsible for determining any tax liability arising from participation in the Program. Consult a tax advisor concerning tax consequences.
  8. Once points have been redeemed, even if in error, the Sponsor is not responsible for changes or actions post redemption. Points will not be reissued or reallocated.
  9. You release us and the Administrator from any and all liability for disagreements between you and joint account holders regarding the accrual, housing, or redemption of Points. The Sponsor's decisions regarding point discrepancies shall be final. 

Travel Rewards

  1. You may redeem your points with travel rewards.
  2. All travel must be redeemed through the Administrator's fully licensed redemption reservation center or website.
  3. The Administrator's travel redemption center is able to take care of all travel arrangements. They are a full service agency that can assist with air rewards, hotel auto, vacation and cruise reservations.
  4. All airline tickets issued in exchange for points are non-refundable and non-changeable after ticket issuance, without paying the standard fees charged by each airline. Changes are subject to authorization by the airline and subject to any fees charged by the airline and redemption center.
  5. Lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed airline tickets will not be replaced without the participant paying the standard fees charged by each airline.
  6. Airfares are not guaranteed until ticket is issued. All reservations will receive an email on the same day the ticket is issued. The participant must call in any corrections or discrepancies by the close of business, the same day the ticket is issued. The travel redemption center will do their best to accommodate all changes and requests. Any changes or corrections done the following day or thereafter are subject to all airline airfare charges, exchange fees and processing fees and processing charges.
  7. Paper airline tickets are subject to the individual airline paper ticket fees.
  8. If a paper ticket is issued, the participant has two options for delivery. The participant can sign a waiver stating that they accept responsibility for a lost ticket, and then the ticket will be sent via US Mail. The second option is to pay a shipping fee for the ticket to be sent via overnight delivery. Priority, Saturday and outside the forty-eight (48) contiguous states, deliveries will be subject to additional shipping charges.
  9. Cancellation/Change Fee: Reservations are subject to the rules of each airline/car rental/hotel on your itinerary. A fee of $50.00 per airline ticket and $10 per hotel reservation or car rental may be assessed for travel cancellations or changes. Subject to change.
  10. You are responsible for payment of all baggage charges, departure taxes, seat assignment charges, cancellation or ticket change charges, or other charges that may be assessed by airlines, travel companies and/or governmental entities as a result of travel under the rewards program.
  11. We and the Administrator are not responsible for the performance by the airlines of the ticketed transportation. All reservations are made subject to the conditions of airlines, supply or business of the party providing the service, which include exclusions and limitations of liability. The airline industry is in constant flux and changes made by this industry are done quickly and frequently without notice, therefore, reward redemption rules for air travel are subject to change without notice.
  12. A valid government ID must be presented at the airport and it must match the traveler's complete name as listed on the airline ticket.
  13. Travel insurance: For added protection, it is highly recommended that all travelers consider purchasing travel insurance at the time of ticketing to cover airline bankruptcy, trip cancellation & interruption, baggage delays and lost baggage, medical expense, emergency medical transportation, and vehicle rental collision insurance.
  14. Travel Terms & Conditions

Merchandise Redemptions

  1. When necessary, the Administrator may substitute an award with an updated model of equal or greater value without advance notice. You will be notified of any change when ordering. The Administrator may remove certain items and may replace or remove certain sections within any Program literature or website. All awards are subject to availability.
  2. Merchandise redemptions may take two to four weeks to arrive from the time of order. Multiple redemptions may arrive at different times from different vendors. Delivery times may increase during peak holiday periods.
  3. Merchandise cannot be shipped to APO/FPO or PO Box addresses.
  4. Merchandise shippable by USPS will be available to all US territories. Items being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands will have an additional freight charge billed to you.
  5. Merchandise pictured in any Program catalog or website may not necessarily reflect exact colors or models of actual redemptions due to printing variations and/or manufacturers' updates. Information is accurate to the very best of our knowledge. We and the Administrator are not responsible for errors or omissions.
  6. Points required for redemption items are subject to change.
  7. You may exchange merchandise only in the event of merchandise defects or damages prior to receipt. Any defects, damages, or shortages must be noted on the delivery receipt before you sign to accept shipment of merchandise.
  8. All merchandise is covered by manufacturer's warranties. Any defective items should be handled through the manufacturer's warranty claim process and facilities (if applicable).

Gift Cards and eGift Cards

  1. Points may be redeemed for gift cards and eGift cards from select merchants. Most gift cards are delivered within two to three (2-3) weeks, to the address specified on the order file with the Administrator, as long as it is within the United States and its territories. Delivery times may increase during peak holiday periods.
  2. eGift cards are delivered via e-mail and typically show up 2-3 days after redemption.
  3. Gift cards and eGift cards cannot be returned, and are not redeemable for cash or credit.
  4. All other sales and/or use taxes including shipping and handling charges of items purchased using a gift card or eGift card are the responsibility of the participant and are subject to the merchants' policies in effect at the time of redemption. Purchases in excess of the amount of the gift cards and eGift cards are at the participant's expense.
  5. Gift cards and eGift cards may also be subject to other restrictions imposed by the merchant. Gift cards and eGift cards purchased to provide services are subject to the terms and conditions of the vendor providing the services.
  6. Additional terms and conditions may be specified on the gift card or eGift cards.
  7. If a merchant declares bankruptcy, the Sponsor and Administrator are not liable for the underlying funds on the gift card or eGift card.
  8. Once the gift card or eGift card is redeemed and/or used, they are not returnable, exchangeable or replaceable.
  9. Each merchant sets a policy in regards to lost or stolen gift cards or eGift cards. If a gift card or eGift card is lost or stolen the participant should report the occurrence to the Administrator immediately. The Administrator reserves the right to decline to replace lost or stolen gift cards or eGift cards.
  10. If gift cards or eGift cards have been ordered and not received, you must notify the Administrator using the provided customer service number. You must notify the Administrator no earlier than fifteen (15) days after the expected receipt date and no later than sixty (60) days from the expected ship date. Upon receipt of such notification, the Administrator will investigate. The Administrator with its sole discretion may replace any non-received shipment, in which a full balance remains on a gift card or eGift card.
  11. The Administrator is not responsible if a recipient or participant defaces, damages or otherwise renders unsuitable for redemption a gift card or eGift card that was received from this reward site.
  12. Gift cards shippable by USPS will be available to all US territories. Items being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands will have an additional freight charge billed to you.

Prepaid Mastercards Cards

  1. Points may be redeemed for prepaid cards. The prepaid cards, issued by Mastercard, may take up to 3 to 4 weeks for delivery and can only be shipped within the United State and its territories. Delivery times may increase during peak holiday periods.
  2. All other sales and/or use taxes including shipping and handling charges of items purchased using a prepaid card are your responsibility and are subject to the merchants' policies in effect at the time of redemption. Purchases in excess of the amount of the prepaid card are at your expense.
  3. Prepaid cards may be subject to other restrictions imposed by the merchant. Prepaid cards purchased to provide services are subject to the terms and conditions of the vendor providing the services.
  4. If you ordered a prepaid card and you or other addressee are not in receipt of the prepaid card, you must notify the Administrator by calling (833) 251-6392. You must notify the Administrator no earlier than fifteen (15) days after the expected receipt date and no later than sixty (60) days from the expected ship date. Upon receipt of such notification, the Administrator will investigate and under its sole discretion may remove funds from the non-received card and issue credit to the account.
  5. A prepaid card can be used at a wide variety of merchants that accept Mastercard.
  6. Prepaid cards cannot be returned nor are they redeemable for cash or credit.
  7. The prepaid Mastercard cards expire 12 months from the date of issue. The expiration date is imprinted on the front of the prepaid card. Expired prepaid cards cannot be replaced.
  8. Prepaid Mastercard cards shippable by USPS will be available to all US territories. Items being shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands will have an additional freight charge billed to you.

Cashback

  1. You may redeem your Points for cash back via the catalog for a specified amount. Cashback redemptions are issued with a deposit to the primary cardholder's Primary Share Savings account and will be applied within 1-2 business days after the order has been processed. No cancellations or refunds on this item.

Statement Credit

  1. Statement credit will apply to whichever account the participant choses at the time of redemption. The participant is solely responsible for the accuracy of the account number provided and the Sponsor is not liable for incorrect account information. Refunds or reallocation of points once a redemption is made will not be available.
  2. You are responsible for any outstanding balance owed on an account after the statement credit is applied.
  3. Statement credits cannot be applied toward the monthly payment amount owed on the credit card account.
  4. Statement credit redemptions will post a credit to your next monthly credit card statement.

Pay with Rewards Redemptions

  1. Pay with Rewards allows you to automatically use your points to pay for future credit card transaction(s).
  2. You have two options to use your points within Pay with Rewards:
    1. You can choose to have the next eligible transaction that meets your criteria have your points applied (automatically applies only one time)
    2. Or you can choose to have all eligible transactions that meets your criteria have your points applied indefinitely (automatically applies to all transactions until you change your Pay with Rewards settings).
  3. You are responsible for setting up when to use or stop the Pay with Rewards redemption.
  4. The Administrator is not responsible for redemption choices made as part of the identification for future purchases and therefore will not reimburse or reinstate points used to meet the selected transaction criteria for redemption.
  5. All Pay with Rewards redemptions are final and cannot be reversed.
  6. Some merchants such as gas stations and hotels are ineligible for Pay with Rewards as authorizations may exceed actual transaction costs.
  7. Pay with Rewards redemptions cannot be applied toward the monthly payment amount owed on the credit card account.
  8. Pay with Rewards redemptions will appear as a statement credit to your next monthly credit card statement.

Transaction Eraser

  1. Transaction Eraser allows you to pay for your current eligible purchases with your Rewards points.
  2. Eligible transactions will be shown in your list of options for your points redemption selection.
  3. All Transaction Eraser Redemptions are final and cannot be reversed.
  4. Transaction Eraser redemptions cannot be applied toward the monthly payment amount owed on the credit card account.
  5. Transaction Eraser redemptions will appear as credit on the account that was used to complete the transaction. Your points will be redeemed and your credit will be applied in 1 to 2 business days.
