Creating good money habits and learning how to budget is the key to lasting financial success. In this educational webinar for teens and young adults, we will talk about the difference between credit unions and banks, help them determine their financial goals, explain how to achieve those goals, and complete an interactive budgeting activity.
RegisterCredit affects our life in more ways than we realize: having a cell phone in your name, renting an apartment or getting a car loan. In this educational webinar, teens and young adults will learn all about credit: how credit scores are calculated, why it’s important to have a good credit score and how to maintain it, and how life events and decisions we make as consumers can affect your credit.
RegisterThis fun learning activity tests your financial knowledge with a rousing game of Financial Trivia with Kahoot!, a free game-based app. Teens and young adults will compete against each other using their mobile device or tablet to answer questions in real-time, and be guided through different financial topics such as savings and checking accounts, debit cards, loans, and more.
RegisterThis fun, interactive activity teaches how to make smart money decisions, while delivering a taste of living on a budget and real-world realities. Teens and young adults are given a persona: a fictional occupation, salary, credit score, spouse and a child, student loan debt, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments. Then, they are faced with purchasing decisions, such as buying a home, transportation, food, clothing, and other daily needs. Throw in a few challenges along the way, like a pushy car salesperson or unexpected expenses, and things start to get real. They will be faced with weighing wants against needs. Luckily, there’s a credit union to turn to for help.
