Package Delivery Scams

April 01, 2024

These scams typically involve a text message or email that looks like it's from a shipping company like FedEx or UPS. The message will say you have a package waiting for you, or your package was undeliverable, and to click on a link to receive it. The link will take you to a fake website that will try to steal your personal information, such as your name, address, and credit card number. Once the scammers have your information, they can use it to make fraudulent purchases or even steal your identity.

How to Protect Yourself:
  • If you're not expecting a package, don't click on any links in the message. Instead, go directly to the website of the shipping company and track your package there.
