Official Sweepstake Rules

Oct. 24 – Oct. 25, 2025


  1. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.
  2. PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE AN INDIVIDUAL'S CHANCES OF WINNING.
  3. Each sweepstakes entry will have an equal chance of winning. Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received.
  4. Prize: Prize: Two (2) eligible participants will each receive $250.00 prize. The total value of the prize is $250.00. The $250.00 prize will be awarded as a cashier's check or deposit in a SchoolsFirst FCU account within 60 days of selection. The prize will only be awarded to the official winners. No prize substitution allowed.

  6. Sweepstakes Period: Sweepstakes begins on Oct. 24, 2025 and ends Oct. 25, 2025. All qualifying and alternate entries must be completed and received by 11:59 p.m. PST on Oct. 25, 2025.
  7. Eligibility: The sweepstakes is open to SchoolsFirst FCU Members only. Must be 18 or older. By entering this sweepstakes, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Credit Union. Sweepstakes void where prohibited by law. Members of SchoolsFirst FCU's Official Family (teammembers, officials and volunteers) and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the sweepstakes. Anyone not complying with the official rules will be disqualified and is not eligible to win a prize.
  8. How to Enter: How to Enter: Entries may be made in person at the Burbank Branch on Oct. 24, 2025, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. PST or Oct. 25, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. PST. One winning entry per day will be selected. Entries will only be included in the drawing for the specific day the entry is received, for example, entries received on Oct. 24 will only be included in the Oct. 24 drawing and will not be included in the second drawing on Oct. 25. A SchoolsFirst FCU Member may submit an alternate entry by printing their full name, address, and daytime telephone number on a 3" x 5" card and mailing the card in a sealed envelope to: SchoolsFirst FCU, Attention: Marketing Department PO Box 11547, Santa Ana, CA 92711-1547. Alternate entries must be received by Oct. 25 and will be included in the Oct. 25 drawing. Limit one alternate entry per person. The maximum entries per eligible entrant is one (1) by all methods combined. The Credit Union is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, damaged, postage-due, or illegible entries. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of the Credit Union and will not be acknowledged or returned. No copies or mechanical reproductions will be accepted.
  9. Drawing and Member Notification: One (1) winning entry ticket from each day (Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, 2025) will be selected the week of Nov. 3, 2025 from all entries received. Winners need not be present to win, and will be notified by phone, secure message through Online and Mobile Banking, or mail with details on receiving their prize. If a sweepstakes entry is drawn, but judges are unable to determine the winners because of inaccurate, illegible or missing information, that entry will be disqualified. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to sign the Prize Acceptance Agreement form within 30 days of notice, the winner forfeits the prize. In the event the winner forfeits the prize, an alternative winner will be selected from among all remaining eligible entries. Anyone not complying with the Official Rules will be disqualified and is not eligible to win a prize.
  10. Liability: Entrant agrees to hold the Credit Union and its officers, directors, employees and representatives harmless from any liability arising from the participation in the sweepstakes or the acceptance, receipt, possession, or use/misuse of the prize.
  11. Privacy: Your participation in this sweepstakes constitutes your consent for SchoolsFirst FCU to use your personal information for the purpose of administering the sweepstakes and awarding the prizes.   12. Taxes: The Credit Union will report all prize winnings to the appropriate state and federal agencies as required by law. Winner is responsible for all tax consequences (if any) of the prize.
  13. Publicity: By entering the Sweepstakes, signing a Prize Acceptance Form and accepting the prize, winner grants SchoolsFirst FCU the right to use the winner's name, photograph or likeness in any and all forms of media for use by SchoolsFirst FCU for any reason, and waives any right to inspect or review any materials or receive compensation.
  14. Arbitration: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this sweepstakes, entrant agrees that any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the JAMS Consumer Arbitration rules and held either remotely or at the JAMS office nearest to your county of residence. Judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorney's fees, other than entrant's actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering sweepstakes), and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
  15. Choice of Law: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Credit Union in connection with the sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to choice of law rule.
