We are seeing continued improvements in the economy but know many of our Members are still feeling the impacts of inflation and higher interest rates in their daily lives. In any economy, there are things you can do to reduce stress around managing finances, save money and feel like you are achieving financial well-being.

Budget wisely: Take time to revisit your budget and assess your spending habits. In any economy, I encourage setting up a budget to manage expenses effectively. This helps in tracking spending and saving more efficiently. When times are tough, it's good to look at your budget and weed out where you can cut costs. By cutting out a few extraneous things, you could make an impact that lessens the stress associated with buy groceries and paying bills.

Understand your credit score: Educate yourself about how credit scores work, the importance of maintaining a good credit score, and how to use credit responsibly. This can have a positive effect on your ability to borrow and your monthly loan payment.

Continue to add to your savings if you can: Think about how you can save a little bit each month. Whether it's $5 a week or $5 a month, investing in your financial future always pays off. If you receive direct deposit, think about putting money directly into your savings share each time you get paid. This can also help you with an unexpected expense.
