Volunteer Attributes & Abilities

  • Must be a primary Member and in good standing with the Credit Union.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Not employed by the Credit Union within the last three years.

President's Forum

President's Forum brings active school employee Members together to voluntarily serve as a resource to help senior management. The Forum's objective is to represent the many voices within our Membership, ensuring the Credit Union remains competitive and relevant for all Members and school employees allowing SchoolsFirst FCU to deliver World-Class Personal Service and financial well-being for all.

At a Glance

  • Comprised of active school employee Members.
  • Meets virtually at least twice a year.
  • Participates in highly interactive presentations, activities and moderated panel discussions.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to help the Credit Union better serve our Members' financial needs and maintain a high level of service and engagement.
  • Gives insight into Member experiences to help the Credit Union live our mission and to improve Member financial well-being and participation.
  • Helps build relationships between the Credit Union and the educational community.
  • Advocates for the Credit Union with Members and prospective Members.

Volunteer Attributes & Abilities

  • Must be a primary Member and in good standing with the Credit Union.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Active school employee.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the credit union philosophy.
  • Not employed by the Credit Union within the past three years.
  • Many Members start their volunteer service on President's Forum.

Advisory Council

Advisory Council is a volunteer group of active school employee Members who support our senior leadership on matters of strategic importance. The Council's objective is to represent the diversity of our Membership ensuring each Member and their families can thrive through all economic cycles helping SchoolsFirst FCU to singularly focus on our number one priority of delivering World-Class Personal Service.

  • Comprised of active school employee Members.
  • Meets up to four times a year, virtually or in-person.
  • Actively participates in discussions and provides feedback on matters of strategic importance.
  • Gives insight into local issues affecting their region to help the Credit Union maintain a high level of service and engagement.
  • Advocates for the Credit Union with Members and prospective Members.
  • Helps develop and grow existing and new relationships within the educational community.

Volunteer Attributes & Abilities

  • Must be a primary Member and in good standing with the Credit Union.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Active school employee.
  • Experience in school or business administration, such as management, operations, human resources, finance, accounting, marketing and information technology.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the credit union philosophy.
  • Not employed by the Credit Union within the past three years.
  • Many volunteers serve on the President's Forum before joining the Advisory Council.
