SchoolsFirst FCU's Kristin Crellin Named 2026 CSUF Vision & Visionaries Distinguished Alumna

March 05, 2026

Kristin Crellin, senior vice president of community and Membership development at SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, has been named a 2026 Vision & Visionaries Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) Distinguished Alumni, the university’s highest honor recognizing alumni and community leaders for their professional achievement and service. Crellin was honored Feb. 28 at CSUF’s Vision & Visionaries ceremony.

In her 36th year with the Credit Union, Crellin has built a career focused on supporting California’s educational community. She leads school and community relations, business development and membership initiatives and has been instrumental in advancing innovative products and services that directly support educators and school employees.

Crellin also serves as president of the Education Foundation for California Schools, the Credit Union’s nonprofit organization she helped establish to support education programs throughout California.

“We say that we’re building the future for those that build the future,” Crellin shared. “I enjoy working with the educational community every day to see how we can support them and make their lives easier so they can focus on what matters most – their students, their classrooms and the communities they inspire.”

Crellin’s path to leadership began at SchoolsFirst FCU in a part-time role as secretary to the president. She went on to serve in multiple positions across the organization, including coordinating ATM placements throughout the community, an experience that sparked her passion for community engagement.

Crellin continues to give back as an active alumna at both the campus and CSU system levels. She serves on the CSUF Philanthropic Board of Governors and is chair of the CSU Foundation Board of Governors. She has also served as president of the CSUF Alumni Association and has represented CSUF on the CSU Alumni Council.
