Dear Members,

As we continue to grapple with the many ways COVID-19 is affecting us, I want to assure you that your Credit Union remains focused on the safety and security of our Members and team, while continuing to deliver the World-Class Personal Service you expect and deserve.

With such a fast-moving crisis, every day brings new information. I want you to know that we are committed to doing the right thing and acting appropriately as circumstances warrant. We have emergency plans in place for how we handle crises—from natural disasters to pandemics. Under this plan, our Emergency Response Team and executive management, including our Board of Directors, will be proactively engaged in helping our Credit Union family stay as safe as possible, following Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.

We’re Here to Help

The coronavirus has created economic uncertainty for many, and understandably, we’ve received questions from you, our Members. If you’re experiencing hardship due to COVID-19, I would encourage you to reach out to us. Our “Help When You Need it” Program was created to assist Members during this challenging time. If your income has been reduced, or you’re experiencing a temporary layoff, we may be able to offer a low interest loan, delay your loan payments, increase your credit line or waive fees.

In addition, as Governor Newsom has requested, we’re offering financial relief and protection on any mortgage or home equity loans you have with SchoolsFirst FCU. For more information, please visit our website.

We Remain Open to Serve You

As more Members are adhering to physical distancing, and Stater Bros. stores are placing new precautionary measures, we are temporarily closing in-store (except for Palm Desert) and school campus branches starting March 30, for the safety of our Members and team. Our full-service branches and operations centers will remain open and are here to serve you. We’re proactively working to find the right balance between protecting our Members and team, while still providing the services you need. We are practicing CDC and WHO guidelines for sanitation and physical distancing. We appreciate your support in complying with physical distancing best practices when visiting our branches.

We Offer Robust Self-Service Channels

Another way to help keep you, fellow Members, and our team safe and healthy is to transact from home. You can check your balance, transfer money, make payments, deposit checks, apply for loans, pay bills and much more using Online and Mobile Banking. You can call or chat with us, and use one of over 28,000 fee-free nationwide ATMs available to you. To find a SchoolsFirst FCU or fee-free CO-OP ATM, use the search feature on our Mobile app or website.
