Online Membership Application

To establish Membership at SchoolsFirst FCU, you must meet certain eligibility requirements. To determine if you meet these requirements, please refer to "Who Can Become a Member?"

If you think you may already have a Membership at SchoolsFirst FCU, please call our Telephone Service Center at 714/258-4000 or 800/462-8328 for verification before completing a new application.

Please note the following requirements:
  • A minimum deposit of $5 (maximum $500) is required to establish your Membership.
  • Your initial deposit must be made by electronic transfer from another financial institution.
  • At the end of the Membership-opening process, you must print your Signature Card, sign it and mail to us at the address on the form. Please make sure you are connected to a printer before beginning the process.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to apply online. If you are under 18, you can apply by printing a mail-in application Junior Varsity/Varsity Club Membership Application (PDF)

Be sure to have the following documents or information available:
  • Driver’s License, State ID, U.S. Passport, U.S. Military ID or Resident Alien Card
  • Social Security Number
  • Mother’s maiden name
  • You can fund your account using a credit card, or to fund it using an electronic transfer, you will need the account number and routing/transit number for the account from which you are transferring. (This information is available on your checks or deposit slips.)

USA PATRIOT Act - Customer Identification Program Notification: Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account, in order to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you.


For purposes of this consent, “we,” “us,” and “our,“ refers to SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, and “you” and “your” refers to each and every person who signs electronically by clicking “I Agree” below.

Pursuant to the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act, we must obtain your consent prior to delivering legal disclosures to you in an electronic format. To establish your account online and allow us to provide you with account disclosures in an electronic format your consent is required. If you'd rather not submit your application online and receive your account disclosures in electronic format, please call our Telephone Service Center at 714/258-4000 or 800/462-8328, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or email us at

Consent to electronic disclosures: You hereby consent to receive disclosures related to establishing your Membership and opening accounts with us in electronic format. You may request paper copies of the related disclosures by calling us at 714-258-4000 or 800/462-8328, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Paper copies will be provided to you, upon request, at no charge.

This consent to receive disclosures in an electronic format applies only to your initial Membership and account opening disclosures. During the Membership opening process you will have the opportunity to elect to receive account statements and other notices electronically. A separate consent form will be provided.
