Online Banking FAQs


What is Online Banking?
Online Banking provides a convenient and secure way to access your account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through the Internet. You can:
  • View your account balances
  • View your account history (up to the last 90 days)
  • View copies of cleared checks
  • Transfer funds between accounts in real-time
  • Make payments by transfer to loans and credit cards
  • And much more
Which accounts can I access through Online Banking?
You can access all of your SchoolsFirst FCU sub-accounts with the exception of most mortgages. Capability to view those types of accounts will be added in the future.

What do I need in order to begin using Online Banking?
To access your account, you will need the following:
  • Any type of computer that can access the Internet
  • An Internet Service Provider
  • A Web browser that meets our minimum specifications
  • Your SchoolsFirst FCU account number and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number (if accessing Online Banking within 30 days of opening Membership; if after 30 days, contact our Telephone Service Center)
How much does Online Banking cost?
Online Banking is free of monthly service charges. In addition, the bill payment service is also available without a monthly service charge.

Do I need to register?
No. There is no registration necessary. Just visit the home page of our web site, enter your account number and access code (the last four digits of your Social Security number if establishing account within 30 days of Membership).

Do I need any special software?
No. You just need the software that you would usually use to access the World Wide Web, including a web browser. There are no special disks or software required, however, you must use a computer that meets minimum hardware and software requirements. Can I use Online Banking from any location?
Yes. As long as you have access to the World Wide Web, you may use Online Banking from any location in the world, 24 hours a day.

How secure is Online Banking?
Very secure. SchoolsFirst FCU uses state-of-the-art network security to ensure the protection of your account information. Refer to our Online Security page for detailed information.

If I make a transfer, how soon are my funds transferred?
Online Banking operates in real-time, so transactions are reflected on your account immediately.

Why canít I log in successfully?
There are a variety of reasons as to why you may not be able to log in. Make sure that your Cookies option is set to accept all. If you are receiving an error message that says "This page has expired due to inactivity" or "You have attempted to perform the same transaction twice", then you need to delete your temporary Internet files and clear your history. If you are still having difficulty logging in, please email us at info@SchoolsFirstfcu.org

What do I do if I forgot my password?
You can email us at info@SchoolsFirstfcu.org or call us at 714/258-4000 or 800/462-8328 Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We can then re-set the access code for you.

What if my account information is not correct or doesnít appear on Online Banking?

What are the business hours for Online Banking?
If you need to talk with a SchoolsFirst FCU representative regarding Online Banking, someone will be available to help you Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can email us 24 hours a day at info@SchoolsFirstfcu.org.

Can I use Online Banking directly from Quicken or Microsoft Money?
Yes. If you use Quicken 2005 or newer or Microsoft Money 2005 or newer you can download your account history directly from within your personal finance software. This will allow you to download all of your account history with the exception of credit card activity. We are hoping to add this in the future.

Are there limits on the number of transfers I can make?
There are no limits on transfers from SchoolsFirst FCU Checking accounts or lines of credit. However, Federal Regulation D limits the number of electronic transfers from Summer Saver and Liquid Advantage Money Market accounts to a maximum of six per share per month (maximum of three for Money Market checks). The maximum of six includes transfers made via electronic methods, such as TellerPhone, Online Banking, and through our Telephone Service Center.

Are there limits to the number of times a day I can log in to Online Banking?
There are no limits on how often you can use Online Banking. Visit Online Banking as often as you like.
