School Participation in the Worthy Student Award Program
Our Worthy Student Award program is offered to high schools. Your school appoints an ambassador from among the staff, typically an advisor, but anyone on your staff can fill the role. They serve as our point of contact and will occasionally be asked to share SchoolsFirst FCU information with their colleagues. We ask that your ambassador be a SchoolsFirst FCU Member. If they are not already a Member, please have them call our office at 800.462-8328, ext. 8579.
We will work directly with your ambassador to schedule a lunchtime visit with your staff before May 15th. We will be available to answer any questions about the credit union, some of the unique products and services we offer exclusively to school employees and how they can become Members.
After our lunchtime visit(s) to your school, a check will be delivered by the end of May. Scholarships are $300-$500 depending on the student population of your school. For tax reporting purposes, the check must be made payable to the school, rather than the individual award recipients.
