What NCUA Insurance Means to You
Providing a secure environment for our Members and their funds is our top priority. Because the safety of your accounts and the financial strength of your credit union are of utmost importance, your credit union deposits are insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an arm of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
The NCUA, an agency of the federal government, administers the insurance fund and regulates federally-insured credit unions. Membersí deposits at SchoolsFirst FCU are insured up to the standard maximum share insurance amount of $250,000. Deposits in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are insured separately up to $250,000.
The NCUSIF is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government. So you can rest easy, knowing that your funds are safe at your credit union.
