Since 1985, SchoolsFirst FCU has had the pleasure of awarding between $30,000 and $45,000 annually in student scholarships through our Worthy Student Award (WSA) program. Through our WSA program, students are selected by their schools to receive a scholarship from SchoolsFirst FCU. Scholarship amounts are based on the school’s population, and range between $300 and $500. Although SchoolsFirst FCU is not involved in the selection of the scholarship recipients, we actively participate in the annual award presentations that schools hold for students.

The WSA program differs from our Member Education Award (MEA) program in that WSA recipients do not need to be Members of SchoolsFirst FCU. Furthermore, SchoolsFirst FCU selects the winners of the MEA program, unlike the WSA, whose winners are determined by the individual schools. The MEA program also involves an application process with eligibility requirements and support documentation.
